A desk top unit similar to the POD range housed in an alternative design of extrusion to provide an aesthetically pleasing yet practical solution for desk top power, data and telecom connections. Particularly suited for Hot-desking situations or simply to provide personal desk top power for the general office. PENTA units can assist with meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) in the workplace by providing facilities accessible to all on the worksurface.
Used in conjunction with underdesk units PENTA provides a total solution for power and data connectivity at the workstation.
Based on an aluminium extrusion in lengths of up to 3 metres, PENTA may be used to accommodate mains sockets, data and other connectors as a comprehensive desk top unit to the customers exact specification. Please see our modular components
PENTA may also be configured as a screen or tool rail hung unit with brackets available to suit most types of installation.
Standard colours - Silver anodised body - black fascias and end caps.
Other colours available on request – may be subject to minimum order quantity.
All Office Electrics products are manufactured to enable compliance with BS6396 or BS7671 where relevant. UK sockets incorporate fuses as standard with colour coded insets indicating fuse rating. Unfused sockets may be specified where applicable

Segregation:
Mixed use units- Power and Data are internally segregated.
Insulation:
Fully earthed aluminium casing with fire retardant ABS fascias. A 2000V protective membrane is incorporated.
Earthing:
Spade terminal in the rear recess allows bonding to furniture (BS6396) using standard 6.3mm push on crimp terminal. Earth leads available on request.
Fusing:
5 x 20mm ‘slo-blo’ anti-surge ceramic fuses.
Fuse clips:
Instead of printing or stickers we offer colour coded fuse clips (3.15A and 5.00A) to comply with the fuse marking requirements of BS6396.
Protection:
Available with optional power cleaner, surge protector, MCB, RCD, RCBO, etc.
Security:
Tamper restrictive screws (Torx T10) are used as standard.
Anti-Flex system: Unique full length locking system guarantees unit integrity, regardless of the length of the unit.
Testing:
100% fully tested before despatch.
